Newport Beach, CA. October 25, 2006 – TTI today announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Positive ID, a Glen Ellyn, Illinois based full-service supplier of Photo Identification, Biometrics, and Card Technology products.
In business since 2003, Positive ID has focused on providing solutions to clients in government, education, healthcare, libraries, DHS (Department of Homeland Security) and others where personal identification and security is a crucial business need. In order to meet the demands of these markets and their diverse applications, Positive ID has had to demonstrate its expertise in ID card printers, card design software, biometrics, and various ID card technologies such as smart, proximity (RF), magnetic stripe, and bar code. Utilizing its system integration and large scale card implementation experience has allowed Positive ID to become a recognized leader in the Midwest United States personal identification marketplace.
